Should charities dabble in crytpo?
Trade and exchange has always changed over the course of human history, with each new transformation opening up new challenges and risks. It's part conceptual understanding and part leap of faith.

It's not any different with crypto - though the stakes are pretty high to be putting it all on block (Poor, I know - will try better)
Throughout the dip over the last yearm there have still been some impactful raising of funds using crypto - Ukraine raised millions since February, whilst Save the Children have accepted crypto donations since 2013. And of course, the tax breaks
Does it make sense for charities to get involved with crypto? as long as they have a few saftey checks in place, it could be a game changer. Some thoughts
Get some expert help. this is one where you can wing it
Consider 'Know your Donator' rules may be different
If you are going to receive crypto donations have a clear strategy for holding in crypto, converting immediately to a FIAT currency such as dollars
Security; lots to consider here around cold storage, hot wallets, see phrases (see point one)

Pointless tasks may have a point after all
Ever undertaken a 'stupid task' just for the sake of it? turns out you may not be so stupid after all.
In an Article for The Atlantic, Gloria Lui argues that the rather pointless tasks that take a while (Like, say walking across the U.S in an orange Bear suit) can actually make the pursuit of frivolous joy a deliberate practice that has real world benefits to the individual.

You get into a flow state more easily doing something you love
We all live in the digital age of likes, approval and instant chasing of recogntion so the act of doing something very pointless - whilst spending a fair bit of time doing it - seems, well pointless. But a right laugh and an antidote us to being so serious all the time. (work, sleep, work, sleep, work, work, sleep zzzzzzzz)
The Purpose has a dog in this fight. learning, for no particular reason in the last two years, to 1. Learn how to do a Rubik's Cube in under a minute. 2. Learn to spin a basketball on our finger. 3. learn a magic trick while not looking like a d*ck
And let's face it more traditional self-improvement like journaling and cutting out Mars bars sure ain't much fun. Purpose in the pursuit of absolutely nothing, it's a thing.

Web 3.0 dictionary 101 for non-techies(i.e me and you)
Look sharp when you get asked about the metaverse/crypto/NFTs in your next board meeting. We're on a mission to skill you up
Gas (or gwei) - This is the fee paid by a user to make a transaction, such as buying an NFT or executing a smart contract, usually on the Ethereum blockchain (a bit like a transaction fee that Visa or Mastercard charges for handling a transaction)

The fee can go up and down, depending on the current demands on the network, or how how complex a transaction is
Other blockchains such as Solana have much lower gas fees. At the time of writing gas fees on Ethereum are at some of their lowest. Doesn't mean you should invest willy-nilly in any old ponzi DAO, though.
As with gas, as with life. Know the lingo, know the codes :)
