Wellness: Your phone might be the enemy

Digtal amnesia sounds like a banging metaverse version an Ibiza superclub. Unfortunately, it just ain't so. (not yet anyway)

We all time spend too much time on our phones - what with messages, alerts, texts, memes, newsletters (ahem). We're all just multi-tasking and using the worlds information to, well inform ourseves and get smarter in the process. Or are we?

Digital Amnesia is a thing, and its growing. Have a look a this report in the Guardian, with tips on how to ensure you don't go all memort affect and leave some memory for our heads, rather than default to the memory available in our pocket.

Review terror: Ever written a review on Glassdoor?

You might want to look away now. Seems anonymous isn't always anonymous. The beauty (and for some employers, the drawback) of review sites like Glassdoor is anonymity. For people who feel compelled to post a review of the boss, the company, their line manager, the comp - and even sometimes, their colleagues.

The ability to keep your true identity hidden has always been perhaps the most powerful facet of the site. After all, you can say pretty much what you like without the concern of being taken to task by unhappy management.

Well that/s what you thought anyway. In the US, it seems pleading the 5th isn't gonna cut it anymore. A new California (where else) court ruling gives us a reminder that this anonymityβ€”whether on Glassdoor or other review sitesβ€” isn't guaranteed, not one bit. review at your own risk

Look sharp when you get asked about the metaverse/crypto/NFTs in your next board meeting. We're on a mission to skill you up

Paper Hands- You'll see this term being used to describe somebody who sold cryptocurrency at pacey clip, once its price starts to fall - usually at a loss from the price they bought in at. Hence paper hands means someone who doesn't really have the stomach for the volatility of the crypto space in the first place, and therefore is NGMI.

How to use: "Joey is NGMI (Not Gonna Make It) he's got paper hands"

As with paper hands, as with life. Know the lingo, know the codes :)
